Boucher & James, Inc. is pleased to announce that Montgomery Township has been selected by the Natural Lands Trust to be a recipient of the 2015 Growing Greener Communities Award.  This award was developed by the Natural Lands Trust to “recognize townships that have engaged in a dynamic initiative designed to save land, steward natural resources, and/or connect people to nature.”  One municipality in Chester County and one municipality in Montgomery County are presented with this award each spring.  The Montgomery County award is presented in partnership with the Montgomery County Association of Township Officials (MCATO).  Montgomery Township actively engages in numerous one-time and ongoing land preservation, stewardship, and greening projects including bi-annual shade tree plantings, a basin naturalization program, trail construction, and the preparation and implementation of forest management plans.  Our Planning and Landscape Architecture Department helped develop the basin naturalization program and assists with the preparation of planting plans and inspection reports for basins to be naturalized, among other projects.  These are just a few of the exciting things that are being done by our client, and we are proud to be a part of it.
