Bucks County Commissioners Hire Boucher & James, Inc. to Engineer Two Important Trail Projects

We are pleased to announce that the Bucks County Commissioners selected Boucher & James, Inc. from a large field of firms competing for the work to design/engineer the Peace Valley Park Trails Project and the Upper Bucks Rails to Trails Project.

The Peace Valley Trail Project includes the design and construction of a .71 mile paved AASHTO new multi-use trail and the rehabilitation of 2.0 miles of the original 1974 trail.  Boucher & James, Inc. will perform utility clearances, provide all necessary environmental and cultural resource investigations including a Phase I Audit, and obtain necessary permitting and approvals.  In addition, Boucher & James, Inc. will provide surveying services, prepare all bidding documents and provide engineering services during the construction phase of the trails.

The Upper Bucks Trail Project involves the design/engineering of a multi-use trail that will follow the former Reading Railroad Bethlehem Branch from the Bucks County/Lehigh County line south through Springfield Township ending at Veterans Park in Richland Township.  The combined length of the trail will be about 3.2 miles.  As with the Peace Valley Trail Project, Boucher & James, Inc. will conduct an Environmental Audit, prepare base plans, obtain permits and approvals, complete construction engineering/design drawings and prepare and finalize contract documents.

 

Boucher & James, Inc. is proud to have been selected by the County Commissioners to provide the services needed to engineer, design and oversee the development of these two important trails projects for the County of Bucks.
