Boucher & James, Inc. celebrates National Engineers Week from February 21, 2016 through February 27, 2016. The celebration was started in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers in conjunction with President George Washington’s birthday. President Washington is considered the nation’s first engineer, notably for his survey work.

National Engineers Week was created to increase public awareness about engineering and to recognize how engineers make the lives of all Americans more livable, comfortable and safe.

It is celebrated annually by thousands of engineers, engineering students, teachers and leaders in government and business and is sponsored by more than 120 engineering societies and major corporations. Boucher & James, Inc. is proud of its engineers who are committed to making a difference in the communities in which we work and live.
