Korean War Memorial Groundbreaking

On Tuesday, August 8th,Boucher & James, Inc.’s Judith Stern Goldstein and Valerie Liggett attended the groundbreaking ceremony for The Korean War Memorial, American-Korean Alliance Peace Park at Memorial Grove in Montgomery Township, PA. Boucher & James, Inc. provided landscape design and surveying services to the design committee for the memorial. The aim of the memorial is to strengthen the bonds between our two countries, and to honor those brave soldiers who fought in the Korean War and who still serve along the 38th parallel. The ceremony was attended by American and Korean veterans of both the Korean War and Vietnam, dignitaries from the Republic of Korea and local municipalities, as well as US and State Government representatives. Kweon Ki-hwan, consul general of the Republic of Korea, stated that with threatening headlines coming from the Korean peninsula, the park will serve as a permanent monument to how much our two countries, and our two peoples, have in common.
