On October 4, 2017 a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to re-open Steel City Park in Hellertown, PA. This major re-design has been nine years in the making, and was partially prompted by resident’s concerns over vandalism and security issues.

The park now includes a baseball field, a new playground, a basketball court, a pavilion with picnic tables, paved parking, fencing, a water fountain and walking paths. Boucher & James, Inc. provided planning and landscape architectural services for this project, including holding a community visioning meeting to determine amenities to be provided in the new park for Lower Saucon Township.
